Polygon (MATIC) Co-Founder Departs Company

Anurag Arjun, one of Polygon’s co-founders, announced on Thursday that he’s leaving the company to work on another project. This announcement came as a surprise to the user base of Polygon. Despite this departure, Sandeep Nailwal, another Polygon co-founder, reassured users that it wasn’t a “goodbye” and that Arjun will still be working on scalability challenges key to Web3’s shared mission.

Why is Arjun Leaving?

Arjun said he will be working on Avail – a modular blockchain optimized for data availability. This project used to belong to both Polygon Labs and Polygon Foundation but will now be spun off as its own entity with Arjun as its founder.
